Following the successful first presidential debate in the Republic of Indonesia on December 12, 2023, the General Election Commission (KPU) has set the schedule for the second presidential and vice-presidential debate. This debate will spotlight economic issues and is scheduled to take place on December 22, 2023.
Stage for Vice Presidential Candidates
In contrast to the first debate, which featured presidential candidates, the second debate will serve as a platform for the vice-presidential candidates. Three figures, namely Muhaimin Iskandar, Mahfud MD, and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, will engage in arguments during this debate.
Theme Focus on Economy
The second debate will center around the theme of the economy, addressing various aspects such as people's economy, digital economy, finance, investment, taxes, trade, management of state and regional budgets, infrastructure, and urban development. With a duration of 120 minutes, the vice-presidential candidates are expected to provide perspectives and solutions to the economic issues that concern the public.
